Tree Pruning before it’s too late!

Mr. Weedy says: Now’s a great time to prune any low tree limbs protruding over turf grass or walkway areas. Trees limbs casting shadows over turf grass that is warm season will deftly caused thinning. Depending on your grass variety, if the sunlight is not increased within the shady areas you can experience thinning to the turf or yellow or brown blade tips. You can safely remove one fourth of the foliage of any healthy tree during the growing season. It’s now recommended that you take action before it’s too late.

Mr. Weedy says: it’s always a good idea to examine your shade tree plants and shrubs to look for any limbs that are leafless and brittle. If you notice a leafless stem simply take your hand shears and prune away any dead growth from the tree stock itself. Chances are the stem has already died and will not reproduce any new leaves.
